Science-fiction movies or science Fiction movies as they’re called in short customarily refers to an idiom of movies which heavily relies on non linear science elements and ideas often not accepted by current day mainstream science such as the existence of alien life forms, parallel universes, super human or extrasensory powers, the power to travel forward or backward in time, etc . Frequently in union with speculative concepts about the way forward for humankind and the technologies employed in the future world such as high tech spacecrafts, androids and humanoids.
Sci-fi movies typically have multiple layers to the story and focus on political, social and philosophical issues aside from the obvious plot. Some pictures even target the human condition and have speculative ideas on the direction of the development of mankind and the various species on earth and the universe. As a consequence, sci-fi flicks cannot be typically divided into one genre alone and cut across a lot of genres like drama, poser, action for example.
